What you'll do
- Set technical direction for research initiatives — from problem framing through experimentation and measurement
- Design rigorous experiments and ablations, and bring a research mindset to production problems
- Set standards for evaluation, calibration, and reproducibility across the team
- Mentor other researchers and engineers, and stay current with the literature
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of research experience in machine learning, or a PhD in a related field
- A track record of research that reached production or moved real outcomes, not just benchmarks
- Publications, patents, or open-source contributions are a plus
